There are a number of locations around the extensive gardens that are perfect for your ceremony and photos, the 1830’s stables with cobbles stones, four 200 year old fig trees at the front of the house overlooking panoramic country views stretching for miles, the gardens and sandstone cellar. In addition, Wallalong House can be transformed into any theme or style.
At Wallalong House you have two catering options:

We are ecstatic to be able to say Suki has collaborated with us over the last months in designing a street food menu. This menu is an out-of-this-world experience in taste and authenticity.
Suki has been cooking since she was four with her Korean grandmother and mother. Cooking has been her life long passion and her approach to her craft of cooking street food is the best we have encountered. All Suki's food is made from the very beginning with the finest ingredients and Suki has the most amazing eye for detail.
We wanted to arrive at a point where we felt we had chosen the best street food for both Wallalong House and Mindaribba House. This has taken a good part of 2018 to achieve.
Venue hire is $7000 plus GST. This includes cutlery, crockery, white wooden tables, benches, antique day-beds, outdoor pool furniture, two bars, servettes and tablecloths. Strings of festoon lights and fairy lights envelope the pool.
The Indian tent is a permanent structure. One side of the tent opens to the pool area with recycled timber lounges, antique wooden daybeds, fire pits and stone pots scattered around the pool area. The other side of the tent opens to extensive elevated views of the countryside and amazing sunsets. We have created a polished concrete floor in the Indian tent. The 5 metre concrete bar is situated inside the tent and two-hundred-year-old french iron shutters line the front of the bar (the shutters can be removed if requested). There are antique wooden daybeds scattered around the pool and inside the Indian tent and an outdoor stone bath and shower overlooks an elevated view of the countryside out to Morpeth. There is a billiard table situated in the sandstone cellar.
French Industrial tables, chairs, benches and oversized stone pots are scattered around the property, pool and verandahs. We have sourced grey marble crockery, ribbed stainless steel cutlery, matt charcaol-grey tea and coffee cups, pourers and teapots, antique wooden cake stands, French antique hoppers from a famous vineyard in France hold the wine and champagne on ice, French Industrial cake and signing tables and chairs, white linen serviettes, white ceramic vases, crystal vases, a tall wooden stand for seating plans or menus, 8 x 3 metre oregon wooden benches for your ceremony, twenty-five light-blue metal chairs for extra seating if needed, reclaimed wooden trestle tables and Industrial chairs for your reception. An antique wooden rice cooker next to the bar is used for beer on ice. Edison festoon lights are hung along one side of the pool and inside the tent. Old lanterns hang in the bottletree (planted in 1828) at the entrance to the tent. Fairy lights are scattered around the property and a coral chandelier envelopes the middle of the Indian tent spreading a gorgeous pattern on the material inside the ceiling.
Belgium linen is used on all our beds. We supply all towels and Aesop bathroom products. There is a fully-equiped kitchen for your use over the weekend, a large BBQ, coffee machine and coffee pods. All the rooms in the house are styled with antique furniture and art works from Morocco, France, Mexico, India, Java and Indonesia.
You have the private use of the gardens and venue room for your ceremony, reception and photographs, private use of the house and the property for you and your guests staying on-site for the weekend is included in accommodation costs.
